Natural And Organic Skin Care Products Present Beauty Along With Safety
Most people are very concerned with the state of their skin, lately. A big contributor to that trend is the huge market full of skin care products. There seems to be products like makeup, cleansers and lotions absolutely everywhere you go. The problem is that many of those products could actually cause more problems than they fix. That's why you should seriously consider using certified organic cosmetics as an alternative.

You might think that regular cosmetics are tested and regulated enough, and you wouldn't be alone in thinking that. The trouble is that cosmetics are barely regulated by the US government at all, even though they are technically controlled by the FDA. As far as the Food and Drug Administration is concerned, in fact, cosmetics are barely even on the to do list, since foods are a much higher priority.

If all of that information worries you, good. It's important, after all, to know exactly what's going on or into your body. That's probably why certified organic products are becoming so popular recently. Even natural hair dye is gaining popularity. Chemical-based products are much more unhealthy than they are.

Commercial cosmetics are controlled fairly well in Europe, where about 1,200 substances are banned from being put in them. Comparatively, the list of banned substances in commercial cosmetics in the USA is frighteningly small. In fact, the list is only about 10 items long. That's a staggering problem, especially since many of those substances can be hazardous to your health.

Organic products don't contain any of those chemicals or harsh substances, though. They're made out of all natural components, assuming that they're properly certified as organic. Organic products have to meet many regulations for not just ingredients, but also the production process. In order to meet the requirements for certification, organic products have to pass various test.

In fact, you should watch for products with one specific certification called BDIH. That certification proves that third party testing facilities authorize a given product as organic. Remember, though, that certified organic products and products containing a few natural ingredients are far from the same thing. Products are not automatically wonderful just because they're put on store shelves. After all, store owners are usually most concerned about making money, not about public safety, and the same goes for product makers and distributors. Just look at all the junk food out there, for example. Cosmetics are, in many ways, more dangerous than junk food, since cosmetics seem fine on the surface, but hide problems, while junk food is clearly unhealthy.

That's why the reality is that you should use certified organic cosmetics, if you want to avoid many hidden dangers. That way, you won't actually damage your skin further by accidentally using the wrong products. So, you'll be much healthier and happier, in the long run.
